Cozyphones-Our Favorite Headphones For Kids

Our family is not big on electronics-except for when we travel. We really enjoy the ability to allow our kids to watch a movie or listen to a book read aloud when we travel. However, if you are like our family the thought of headphones for kids brings thoughts of tangled cords, painful ear pads, and fear of volume control. Our family found a solution to this problem-Cozyphones to the rescue!

Multiple Options

Cozyphones are a soft headband shaped headphone created for children and adults alike. The headphones come in many adorable prints including Paw Patrol characters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Jojo Siwa. Cozyphones also come in adult options such as active Cozyphones and sleep Cozyphones. We have not tried the adult version yet but we are pretty sure we would enjoy them as much as our kids do.

Design

Cozyphones are created with circular foam sound pieces that can be adjusted to fit the positioning of the child’s ear. The foam sound pieces are attached to the wire that you plug into the device. These round pieces can be easily removed from the felt headband so that the headband can be washed. This is definitely a benefit when being used by young children.

We love the portability of the Cozyphones. A lot of headphones we have are bulky and take up a lot of space in our carry on bags. Cozyphones can easily be folded in half and you can wrap the cord around them.

Problem We Found

The only negative we found (and this is being super nit-picky) is that the headband is made of fleece. Now I know you Northerners are thinking “how nice!” but the Floridians are thinking “hot, hot, hot!”. While this was an initial worry of mine it turns out that it’s not really an issue at all. If you think about it, your child will likely be wearing the Cozyphones in a car or airplane which are both air-conditioned. If they are walking around in the hot Florida sun with them on, yank those puppies off and tell them to ride their bike and climb a tree instead 🙂

The best part of Cozyphones? My kids ask to use them! Usually kids resist wearing headphones because they are uncomfortable. As you know they are required on flights and they make car rides a little nicer when you have multiple children in the car. So if you have not tried a pair of Cozyphones for your child-what are you waiting for? You can purchase them here. We’re pretty sure you will love them as much as our family does!

Stay peachy!

  1. I am totally getting some of these for my daughter. Like you, we don’t use headphones or earbuds very often. In fact, I forgot how much my daughter didn’t like earbuds until we were on the plane for our last trip. It was her first flight, and I didn’t even think about it. We made it through, but mostly she just played games without the sound. I am getting this before our next trip.

    • Stacey,
My kids are the same way-hate earbuds and the regular headphones hurt their ears. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
